Privacy Policy

• Account details: first and last name, optional display name, email address and an account identifier.
• Participant details: for you or people you book for — name, date of birth, phone, mailing address and emergency contact (name, relationship and phone).
• Lessons and bookings: lesson requests, preferred dates and times, bookings, lesson and trip history, and deposit status.
• Progression: skill unlocks, milestones, XP, coach observations and notes, and links to videos you submit for review.
• Agreements: which versions of our Terms, Progression acknowledgements and lesson cancellation policy you accepted, and when.
• Your choices: marketing email preference, Community Sharing setting and marketing media preference.
• Records of activity: history of changes to bookings, requests and account records, kept for security and auditing.

Sign-in is handled by our authentication service. EK Experience does not store or have access to your plaintext password.

When EK Experience uses online waivers, we may collect information needed to document the agreement, such as signer and participant identity, guardian relationship and contact details where applicable, the waiver version, signature evidence and timestamps, a snapshot of the emergency contact, your marketing media choice, and technical information such as IP address and browser details. A signed PDF copy may be kept in private storage.

We keep these records to document the agreement, confirm a participant is cleared to take part, support safety and operations, and for legal and business recordkeeping.

A minor cannot sign the participant waiver for themselves. Activities involving a minor require information and authorization from a parent or natural guardian.

• Creating and managing your account.
• Handling lesson requests, bookings, trips and deposits.
• Providing Progression features and coaching feedback.
• Documenting agreements and waivers, and confirming participant clearance.
• Emergency and safety administration.
• Keeping the platform secure and preventing misuse.
• Sending marketing email only if you opted in.
• Showing your activity in the community feed only if you turned on Community Sharing.
• Using photos or video of you in marketing only if you authorized it.

We use your contact information to provide account-related communications, such as account confirmation and password reset emails, and to communicate with you about services you request from EK Experience.

Marketing email (EK news, lesson openings, trip announcements) is optional and off unless you choose it. You can change this anytime in My Account. Opting out of marketing does not stop communications about your account or services you request.

Community Sharing is off by default. If you turn it on, your display name, unlocked skills and milestones can appear to other riders in the community feed. You can turn it off at any time in My Account.

Lesson deposits are paid outside this website through Zelle or Venmo. The website shows payment instructions and opens those services; it does not collect or process your bank or card details. EK staff confirm deposits manually.

• Lovable Cloud (built on Supabase): hosts the website and provides authentication, the database, account emails and file storage, including private storage for signed waivers.
• Cloudflare: delivers the website and routes traffic.
• Meta / Instagram: we display content from EK Experience's public Instagram account. This integration is not used to send EK account, booking or participant records to Meta. The post images are loaded by your browser from Meta's servers, and if you choose to visit Instagram, Meta's own privacy terms apply.
• Zelle and Venmo: external services you may choose to use to pay a deposit, under their own privacy terms.

We use service providers to operate the platform. Some external services, such as Instagram, Zelle and Venmo, are used only in the ways described above and operate under their own privacy practices. EK coaches and staff see the information they need to deliver lessons and keep participants safe. We may also disclose information when required by law. We do not use your information for third-party advertising.

We use browser storage for purposes such as keeping you signed in and remembering simple app preferences. This website does not include analytics tools, advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Instagram images on the homepage are loaded by your browser from Meta's servers.

We use sign-in, access controls and private storage to limit who can see your information. No online service can be perfectly secure.

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain your account, and meet legal, financial, safety and recordkeeping needs. Signed waivers, signature evidence, agreement records and financial records may be kept after an account is closed.

You can update your marketing email and Community Sharing choices in My Account. To request a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion of your account or personal information, email ekexperiencefl@gmail.com. There is no self-service deletion button; we handle requests by email. Some records may need to be kept where required or reasonably necessary for legal, financial, safety, waiver, audit, security, recordkeeping or dispute-resolution purposes, so we cannot promise automatic or immediate deletion of every record.
